The second collaboration between Kevin Focus and Kuru has been completed and featured on his Exclusive fabric Blog Mix released yesterday. Receiving great response from live audiences and DJs alike, Lock Connect is a deep Progressive House bit that finds its energy in old school stabs and classic vocal chimes. There are a few labels interested in picking up the track so stay tuned for details on its release. Kuru is Back at EM Sundays, March 21st

We’ve been busy in the studio as of late, working on establishing our 4/4 repertoire and getting the Kuru name out there. Our latest projects will feature the addition of a well-known vocalist, one who has added an amazing dynamic to our music. Come check us out this Sunday as we’ll be testing our some of our new material on the EM Sundays crowd (our set is 10pm-12am) at Joseph’s in Hollywood for a second time. If you comment on this thread you’ll get in for a mere $5, so make yourself heard!

Joseph’s Cafe is located at 1775 Ivar in Hollywood.

This Friday marks the debut of Bass Lounge VIP at the world renowned Conga Room inside of LA Live. We’ll be headlining the “dress-to-impress” night that will take place inside the club’s restaurant afterhours. The main room will be a Los Angeleno crowd of Latin Pop and Top 40 music, but I’m sure we’ll catch the ear of a few stragglers eager to hear something a bit more future-forward.

Our good friend Alex Rosson is celebrating his birthday at Club House on March 6th in Hollywood. The location for this debauchery is none other than our old Muse stomping grounds, Boardners. New Kuru Studio Mix – Trust Revisited

We played Trust last Saturday for Nick Dirty’s birthday…and survived. What a long and crazy night! From the stretched Hummer limo to Joe’s Crab Shack, the evening ended at the very vibrant club in Santa Ana where Origin and I played our first gig as Kuru. The crowd response was so great that a revisited studio mix was inevitable. What was first available on Media Contender as an exclusive can now be downloaded via the Mixes page.

It’s our first gig together as Kuru and we’re pretty excited to be playing for our buddy Nick Dirty’s birthday at Trust in Santa Ana. The evening will be starting out with some pre-party shenanigans that I’ve been asked to shoot, so stay tuned for a follow-up on how this night played out. Could be trouble!
